Jacqueline Jacob's writing has changed over the years. Fortunately, some samples date from 1991.
The study support used is a photograph (Anacrim file).
The documents are of poor quality, l'm sorry.
Altering your writing is already a perilous exercise, automatisms are difficult to erase. In general, a long text gives experts a better chance to identify the author. Indeed, in an anonymous handwritten letter, the end is always interesting.
Imitating handwriting presents more difficulties. The writer must obtain personal documents from the "scapegoat" without arousing suspicion.
In my humble opinion and even though the expertise has thrown confusion in people's minds, by choosing to write these threatening letters the crow made a mistake. His/her overconfidence can turn against them today.
Using a normograph, newspapers or a ruler are restrictive methods but much more effective in terms of anonymity.
The writing is reversed to focus on the "pure" form of a specific letter.
The underlined letters are the ones that struck me the most. I invite you to observe these letters carefully. These two mails were written by the same person under different conditions. Probably (a right~hander) with the left hand.
These letters present significant similarities that can (still) be found in Jacqueline's handwriting today.
The 'c' is very rounded, it forms a loop. The 'a' is rounded, its comma is elongated.
The 'g' almost forms an 8. The loop of the letters 'g', 'j' ('je'), 'y' and 'z' are very important.
The 'u' is also very similar. Finally the 'l' and the word 'le' are identical.

The experts and investigators studied 24 letters. We mainly know the 4 letters that led to Grégory's kidnapping and death ; + A missive in 1985, then to Maurice Simon and Claire Barbier.
Jacqueline Jacob is now suspected of having written 7 mails.

Landscape evolution around Marcel & Jacqueline's house [source IGN, The National Institute of Geographical and Forest Information]. Indeed, In 1981, "the trees were not so tall" ~ Valérie Jacob. Located on the edge of still young trees, this little house almost looks like a watchtower.
The forests have become denser over the years.
700 meters below and in a straight line, we find the Villemin family home, identifiable thanks to the perfectly trimmed bushes.
